300 TDi AirBox Clamps
My 300 TDi does not have any clamps on the airbox, secured with cable ties, the original replacements are £100 each. Does anyone know if the clamps for the wolf airbox fit, they are £30 each 1995 Defender 110 300 TDi Hard Top Rutland Red

I don’t think they will I’m afraid. I think the Donaldson/Wolf filter canister is a larger diameter. I think the standard canister wouldn’t be held properly.

That said, there’s nothing really wrong with substantial tie wraps, and you could probably buy the Wolf straps and modify it. I think I’d want some rubber bobbin mountings in there somewhere. Donald

Can't tell you about the donaldson's im afraid, but i got a pair from an auction site after spending ages looking also, very hard to find.

They were £78 each (ERR4688) plus a fiver for cotton reels, previouslt it was held in by one seatbelt like rubber strap sat on the metal mounting plate, they have made a noticeable reduction in rattles for me.

Yes my engine bay is a work in progress Smile

the pipe that goes form the dump into the airbox is completely shredded wondered if that is due to the airbox vibrating cos it isn't held down 1995 Defender 110 300 TDi Hard Top Rutland Red

Hiya,

Yes the bobbins are the rubber feet you can see under the clamps, they are quite flexible compared to the single! old one i had on there.

I am not sure which pipe you mean that is shredded?
There is one intake pipe into the bottom of the airbox (from the snorkel on mine)
Then the big pipe you see on my pic goes direct to the turbo (i changed mine for a non-egr one as the stock one has a small open pipe on the top and it was starting to go a bit crusty.

There is the pipe from the black plastic crank ventilation thingy on the head that goes underneath and into the pipe from box to turbo, this is clamped to the back of the head just out of view.

thanks
James
