Cargo Rails
I want to fit cargo rails to my 300tdi 110 CSW on the Driver side rear window panel. I've got the MUD UK slimline rails which fit nicely on the outside but where the bolt hole would fall is right on the join of the inner flange.

Has anybody else had this? I was hoping the bolt holes would fit between the flange and the window frame.

Any suggestions for a work around would be welcome. I had thought of using Rivnuts and accepting they will sit on the join?

Cheers

Simon

Pic shows the flange I mean but is not my actual panel. The rivet you can see in the pic is in about the same position as mine so when you consider the lowest point on the outside frame of the window will be below the rivet, there seems to be no way to avoid this flange joint?

It is the bolts as they come through that I am having an issue with.

Like your solution internally though Thumbs Up

Thanks

Ahh that does some what alter the idea.
Make a plate that goes under the window attach this to the side and using counter sunk bolts to mount the cargo rails to ? 1999 Defender TD5 110
