speed restrictions 22" vs 20"
hi
I have V8 2022 defender.
it came with 22" wheels and i bought an extra set of 20" for off roading
i know the tire limit
do i need or can i change the speed limits of the car?
does the car do it by itself?
is the wheel size the car was delivered from landrover has the limit effect?
thanks

The speed remains the same. The circumference of a 22” and 20” inch wheel are the same if you use the correct tyres.

Simon, if I'm understanding the OP's question correctly it's that the smaller diameter off road tyre has a lower speed rating than the standard fit 22's and can the lower limit be manually set into the car's speed limiter or, does entering the new size change the limiter or does the car sense the new tyre speed limit and automatically adjust the limiter?

I'm not aware of any of those options being available, at least except via diagnostics maybe? 23.5MY 90 V8 Carpathian grey

thanks for trying to help

with the 22" the speed limit is the car top speed
with the 20" the speed limit is 196 KP"H
regardless the specific limit of the tiers

does the car knows and changes the limit with the change of wheels from 22 to 20?

you can see in this video that the guy from lucky8 say that they bought the Octa with 22" for no speed restrictions
