The speed remains the same. The circumference of a 22” and 20” inch wheel are the same if you use the correct tyres.

Simon, if I'm understanding the OP's question correctly it's that the smaller diameter off road tyre has a lower speed rating than the standard fit 22's and can the lower limit be manually set into the car's speed limiter or, does entering the new size change the limiter or does the car sense the new tyre speed limit and automatically adjust the limiter?
I'm not aware of any of those options being available, at least except via diagnostics maybe? 23.5MY 90 V8 Carpathian grey |

with the 22" the speed limit is the car top speed with the 20" the speed limit is 196 KP"H regardless the specific limit of the tiers does the car knows and changes the limit with the change of wheels from 22 to 20? ?si=Vf-ltoRZDoYiNCrk you can see in this video that the guy from lucky8 say that they bought the Octa with 22" for no speed restrictions |
