A faulty lift pump and fuel sender unit and no fuel in it, so yeah a simple fix in the end. My dad was thinking the worst like, he was suspecting the engine had bit the dust.
So that's 2 of two, TD5 and TDI fuel systems we have both sorted now, not bad for people not been mechanics. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
