Identifying a misfire on TD5 using a nanocom
Hi
Got an annoying misfire on startup on my TD5 10p. After a few mins of driving it goes away. Suspect a faulty injector. Have a Nanocom, any pointers as to how to identify which cylinder is having problems ? No fault codes appearing relating to injectors

I would think the cylinder balance is the one to look at.

Check for oil at the ecu red plug, if present replace injector loom.

Simply press female pins in injector loom a bit more tight and replace 2 orings on the connector between injector loom and car harness. It is quite unussual for injectors to go bad, but bad contacts is not unussual. Because of very bad experience with some pattern made injector looms, I prefer to use the original one with new orings and tighten connector pins. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile
