Problem Electric Window Passenger Side
Hi All,

New to the site and the world of TD5's, but learning!

I have a problem that I hope you can help with.

The passenger's electric window is stuck open, now I have done the following:

- Checked motor - all good
- Checked wiring from post to door - all good
- Checked switch - all good

I can see that power is going into the relay, so I think that is the issue - though unsure of what replacement one to buy. If anyone could advise that would be great.

Also is there anything else I should check besides this?

Thank you for your help in advance and looking forward to getting involved in the forums! Smile

99.9 % of the time it is the wiring from A pillar to door. Double check you have voltage and neg via the wires, and it needs to be a good current not just voltage. Have you applied voltage to the motor? If yes, and it operated. Then try applying voltage to the connection in the A pillar and see if you get the same result.

Obviously check fuses. Thumbs Up

The window relay controls the power to the window circuit. So if one of your windows is working, or you have power to the switches you don’t have a relay problem.
