Shocking
Evening
Bit of a weird one, washed the defender dried it off using a drying towel then went to clean the windows and I’m getting very bad static shocks off the front passenger and driver windows. I’ve never experienced this on any previous cars. Has anyone experienced this at all?

Now funny you should say this as my husband had the same when he washed my d350! I laughed at him as when I touched the drivers side window I didn’t get a shock but he did! A "static shock" is actually you shocking something. Basically a charge of electricity has build up in you/ your clothing and as the car doesn't have a similar charge it flows from you to the car. So typically caused by nylon socks rubbing on a carpet...

Love that old MK2 Escort. My dad hated his company Escort 1.3L but now they're a fun classic that sadly costs a fortune for a good one.
