Wiper issues, they don’t clear the whole screen
Hello

Thank you for reading this, hopefully you can help.

I recently had my wipers out to change the wiper wheels to the newer style. I also changed my arms and wiper blades.

Had an issue with intermittent wipe so changed the stalk and relay and that solved it.

Now the 3rd issue is they ‘swoosh’ across the screen but not as much as they used to.

I’m kind of stumped as the only things left are the motor (which is moving so don’t think that restricts distance of swoosh) and the cable

What do you mean by the wiper ‘wheels’? Do you mean the wheelboxes?

The two types of wheelbox (to 2001 and 2002 onwards) have different tooth counts on the gears, and so you need the corresponding gear in the motor to match otherwise it could affect the sweep angle.

If you have changed from the early wheel boxes to the later wheelboxes then the ratios are different and the gear needs changing in the wiper motor gearbox to get full sweep.

Legends! Ok I’ll get onto that. I’ll try and find a part number. Mine must be the early type and I’ve defo fitted the later type wheel boxes
