Remove the webs between the ports , it allows it to flex more.

This ![]() Also open out the holes to 10mm except the center 2. I also made spacers to allow me to fit longer high tensile bolts, these will stretch and maintain the clamp load. IRB Developments will do you a skimmed/blasted and opened out manifold. This is where I got mine from. As mentioned some people remove the webs but I didn't. Steve ![]() |

when mine warped i got a ceramic coated one from td5 alive and a set of JE engineering studs and spacers but i noticed the gasket was blowing 11months later,so i took it off and found the manifold was warped again, so i sent it of to the local machine shop and had it skimmed (my guess is the ceramic one was a good one that hadent warped when it was coated) and upto press there is no signs of any blowing
For normal use id say have the manifold skimmed and fit a JE stud kit open the holes to 10 mm (except the middle 2) then it should be ok Will 2005 90 XS 1954 86'' Series 1 tilt 1968 88” 2A 200tdi 2002 110 Hardtop |

The first sign is usually a squeaking or whistling noise, which is the gases escaping under pressure. Darren
