We stayed in The Old Codgers Cottage in October. It's bang in the middle of Windermere and very comfortable.

If you search 't web for Old Codgers Cottage it comes right up.

It's a good recommendation.

It seems most are booked or closed for New Year, so Mrs Greeni just text and said it's gonna be camping..
Just joined National Trust and it looks like Great Langdale in the tent Mr. Green Cheers V8steve for info Thumbs Up

Langdale good choice, make sure you make the effort to go to the old Dungeon Ghyl pub, spent many an hour in there, good company and fine ale, open fire too!

Fairfield Horse Shoe - best walk in the lakes.
Langdales on your door step, no excuses, no need to move the vehicle once you've pitched up.
