Volvo's are really fast to react and super bright. The LR matrix lights are slow and really dim in comparison.

Mine frustrate me because I know what good looks like.

Couldn't of pout it better myself. LR really have missed a trick here. For such an expensive car the lights are quite pants 110 D250 SE HT

As mentioned the lights are not that good anyway. I've deactivated the matrix function and installed a Lazer extra light bar...... 2024 Defender 110 p400e HSE

That's my next route. Can't decide whether to go for a light bar on the roof rack or lights in the grill.

Interestingly i've been driving my daughter's D3 recently and the Xenons are still amazing and leagues ahead of my Defender's. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Fixing the Defender’s poor headlights has to be a top 3 priority for JLR when it comes to next Model Year upgrades. My wife’s 2 year old MINI is a third of the price yet lights are a third better on main beam.

(other top priorities are upgraded / thicker window glass that is much less prone to chips and a greater choice of 18” wheel options, at the expense of 22” if necessary)

By chance has anyone installed or looking to install these from Lazerlamps?

No drilling.. wire runs down the A pillar.
They are activated automatically through detecting the high beam 12V signal.

I think for matrix headlight folks you might need the CAN interface on top. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

The wife’s MY10.5 RRS xenon headlights are far superior in terms of brightness, distance and coverage
compared to the premium LED’s on our P400, and living in regional Queensland it can be a bit
disconcerting on how limited the lights are at night on rural roads lined with suicidal Roos and wallabies,

So local driving after dark, we use the Rangie so we can at least see.. yet another pommie bar steward down under

There are a few of this style about. personally don't like the idea of gluing them on. I'm going to fit some lazer lights in the grill. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.
