Kez, what did you use - a LR loom or are you an expert sparky yourself?

The dash switch and wires were already there just terminated behind dash near door, so was relatively simply to extend them onto lights on roof. Not being an expert by any standard I held my breath when i turned them on, half expecting loom to melt!

What route did you take to get the cables into the cab and how many cables did you run? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Four lights in total wired in pairs to one four core cable, that then runs behind roof bar, down support leg on drivers side then in behind door seal until level with dash just above door stay. Very simple to do (had to be or I would never have done it).

Can take a photo if you want but as most of its hidden not sure it would be much help

Have you cut the door seal Kez, or does the cable squeeze in behind? Any problems with the door sealing now?

If his panel fit is anything like my TD5 then it would just slide through with no cutting Laughing I have 2 roof rack spots with twin cables to both, flashing led's and an external temp sensor all entering through the top corner and all pass underneath the door seal. They don't cause any draughts or water getting in(there's plenty of other places for that Razz )

As JWL says, plenty of room to simply fit behind seal, absolutely no problems with wind noise or water ingress as a result, think you could easily run a TV coax behind if you wanted Shocked

Strangely enough apart from the sunroof (now fixed) mines as dry as a witches tit, no leaks anywhere. Having said that and to put this into context, this is the 4th Defender and 6th land Rover I have owned, they all leaked like sieves Rolling with laughter
