GKN Overdrive
Good afternoon all,

I've ploughed through loads of previous messages, but most seem pretty out of date (probably because the spares are severely depleted / totally gone, even with Devon 4x4

Does anyone know if the mentioned replacement speed sensor from RS which was 285-756, now appears to be 905-5298 (manufacturer part MP37TA00) is a direct fit and still allows the 30mph restriction (to protect the overdrive in reverse and at high torque low road speeds).

If someone has done this relatively recently, that would be great to know.

I know there is a low cost kit that bypasses the controller and sensor (using a relay that connects to reversing switch wire, to protect the reverse gear problem), but it doesn't help with the low speed restriction and also I believe the red led on the GKN gear knob no longer illuminates?
