Somebody kill me!!

Spent days on 1 stuck front radius arm bolt.
Finally got it off using fire and melted the bush.

Still. It’s back at standard height now. Just need to tighten all the bolts tomorrow and I can rest up for the winter.

That’s all the jobs done that I wanted to do for the year.

Ripped out the gas.
Reinstated petrol.
New tank.
New cradle.
Filler and breathers.
New fuel pump.
All new fuel lines and filter fitted.
Air filter mount fabricated.
2 new heads.
New exhaust and cats fitted.
New ecu.
New looms.
New injectors.
All new hoses.
New brakes all round.
New tyres.
Air con all working and fully rewired.
All new standard suspension all round.
New switches and dash wiring.
Fog lamp and switch installed to be uk compliant.

Ready for a rolling road to get set up properly.

And then next year a full respray.

Steve.

Had to deal with seized trailing link to rear axle bolt. Very difficult to get a cutting disc in without cutting something else. So welded another bolt, head to head on the bolt I was trying to remove, slid a tube over, and used the welded bolt as a puller. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Nice.

I think one detail that does suggest this has always been NAS spec is the standard indicator holes on the front don’t look like they’ve ever been used, implying it’s had NAS front lights from the factory. ‘68 V8 hybrid

Yea. I was trying to get 2 new headlamp surrounds but they are impossible to get.

Old ones will clean up and spray ok but one has a crack in it.

Have you tried an actual Land Rover dealer. Occasionally they can surprise you with parts that somehow haven’t been sold off by the crate at some point. ‘68 V8 hybrid

Making good progress. Is the black just a primer? Confused James

I'm hoping it's primer . This is going to be one of a kind when finished and full credit for taking on this project. Body coloured or white roof would be my personal choice just to keep it period. Great work though and keep progress pics coming.

No, sorry all. Going for a black roof.
Keeping the red the same but just wanted something slightly different.

Black checker plate going on as well.
