2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Santorini Black

To bleed or reverse bleed the clutch

Something Hamlet would say but....

Clutch pedal feels funny sporadically. Brake master cylinder is full so no fluid leaks

Thinking of bleeding the clutch - should I start off with bleeding from the bleed nipple or reverse bleeding with a pump thingy?

I normally drain the clutch cylinder with a large syringe clean all the crud from it and then refill with fresh fluid. Then I bleed the system until clean new fluid comes out.

2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Chawton White

I found on a Range Rover classic I never got it to bleed right, so in the end I just crawled underneath, removed the slave from the bell housing, held it pointing down and just pushed the plunger fully in a few times to purch the air out through the reservoir. Both master, hose and slave were new
