D250 HT reliability
Hate to be that guy. We have 2 defender 90 d250 hartops both that have had gearbox problems. First one 10 days after collection it was away for 5 weeks due to a gearbox control module problem. 2nd one 7 months old and now a very similar fault. Just been into vardys Aberdeen for 3 weeks and picked up yesterday for it to have the exact same fault this morning. Able to select drive but as soon as you try and go anywhere it just pops back into park and comes up on the dash gearbox fault. Now recovered back into the dealer again. Love the defender but these faults aren't acceptable on such a new vehicle.

That is bad. The ZF transmission is well regarded and reliable, seriously bad luck you've had two failures.
My D250 HT is 11 months old and had no issues at all.

My P400 XS edition will be 2 years old in January, so far 41K trouble free miles, the only time it stopped moving was in the mud run at Billing, but that was more to do with road tyres and my lack of ability.

So, update on my D300.

I hear a clunking noise on front left suspension, when I use country roads. Shocked
On tarmac is quiet.

Have you driven off road?

Have a look underneath and see if there's anything that doesn't look right

Mine did that - clunk from front
Dealer had to replace both Ft Lower Control Arm - Land-Rover (LR144506)

Only on rutted roads

Made a big difference to quietness of car on all roads once done

Feb 2023 build - ? Faulty components batch

Great that you found the fault. Suspension noises can be difficult to pinpoint.
