[No Longer Needed] Nugget Stuff V2 Airbox
EDIT - Allisport have started making a Puma airbox so now we have a better option. It is also much cheaper and UK made.

Hi,

I'm looking for a Nugget Stuff Airbox but it must be the V2.

If someone's got one tucked away or knows someone who has, please let me know if you'd like to sell it!

The V1 and V2 were made of aluminium, both lid and box. A thing of engineering beauty that performed very well but also looks good in the engine bay. The V3 performs the same but is now made from engineered plastic, a black Nylon Carbon Fibre, which does not look anywhere near as nice.
I don’t think you can get hold of the V2 anymore , I managed to get one of the last 2 Leo deluxe versions in the uk 12-18 months ago.

Version 2 https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/nugg...box-combo/. I think these are old pics but worth checking with Brendan and Barbara.

Actually the V3 is 3D printed and of poor quality. They will not perform the same in my opinion, the V3 mounts will not last, I snapped one tightening it up.

They are worlds apart in quality. I've just posted a review of the V3 in Maintenance and Modifications. It's not a glowing review as per reviews I've read of the V2.

The overlander link you sent above is where I bought mine and shows the V2 but unfortunately you are supplied with the V3 at the same price. I avoided mentioning this in the review as it is not their fault the manufacturer chose to change the materials but it is a huge shame.

I’ve just seen your latest topic on this and am appalled at the quality, or more appropriately lack of quality, of the version 3 of the airbox .

EDIT added link to topic https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic88616.html

For the v3 I read the text on the nugget stuff web site, and given the great quality of their products to date wrongly assumed that quality would have been maintained on their V3.

Wayne (nugget) is a member of this site “nugge t”. https://www.defender2.net/forum/member-nugge-t.html

Worth giving him a PM and pointing to your other topic, or mail nugget stuff directly. I would be expecting a full refund or see if he can make and dispatch a V2 version as a free good will gesture.

An alternative, if wanting a quality item, is to contact Ian at IRB, porny on here as he has been creating his own offering https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic80834.html?highlight=stuff

Oh dear! Version three is horrible and revolting!

What a total shame. Version 2 is magnificent.

I've got a V3 for sale if you like, it did not work reliably with my Remap, if you want it but it sounds like you want a V2?
