Yes.

Super easy to use and quick to reapply.

Not messy so you only need to put on some old clothes. The sleepy smell, which I quite like, does go away after a week. Any drops on the driveway will go away as it is a natural product.

If you look at the You Tube channel JK Overland they sometimes have a discount code in the video description.

Do the basic, clean the underside, let it dry and apply. They have improved the 360 wand for getting into the chassis.

The grease is worth buying and putting into a pot of hot water so that you can brush it on to bolts and areas that have a seam on the underside.

Once done, just give it a blow over the following year.

I put the 90 onto some cut up sleepers to raise the height and give me more room when working underneath.

Yes there are more expensive options, but it is nice to do it yourself.

If I can find a YouTube channel I am thinking of I will attach it soon.

Found it

This guy in the States is using Fluid Film which is another Lanolin product. On his channel he shows the application then a one, two, three year update to show how well it is holding up.

Hopefully that will give you the confidence in the product type.

Good luck

It is an easy DIY protective coating, it would be nice if it came in black rather that the weird greenie colour, but it is doing a good job on the Freelander.

It doesn't need heating like waxoyl but it is easier to use if kept inside the house in the warmth before you need it.

Would I buy it again? Yes for general rust prevention at a decent price, but I would use something black for components that can be seen. Dintrol or Waxoyl or other.

Just a thought.
Can you not add some inert black colourant / pigment/ dye to the lanoguard to make it black ? As long as it’s safe to use on metals plastics etc and can be mixed in with the lanoguard it could work.

This Fluid film is great stuff very good creep and you can buy cans with a long applicator. Handy to have standing around the garage. I use it for the inside of my bulkhead. Did it on my Series 3 20 years ago and have had no rust issues whatsoever.

Smell not great but wanes after a few days.

I've used waxoyl every year on my 2015 Defender from new. However last year I decided to use Lanoguard instead of the waxoyl. From an application point of view I used a paraffin spray gun at 1.5 bar. It seemed to flow better than waxoyl, even though it was applied at room temp (20 celsius) where as I always preheated the waxoyl. It certainly smells different to waxoyl and was pleasantly surprised how quickly the smell disappeared even though kept in a garage. I shall inspect the chassis after 12 months and unless I can see any marked difference then I shall use it again. Defender 90XS SW

Tried a couple of dyes but they were incompatible. Someone with a better inclining of chemistry is going to have to do this one for me... Rolling Eyes

If you specifically talking Lanoguard, then ask them.
They are a helpful small business, and if there is a market then I would think they would be happy to help?
My couple of dealings with them have been faultless.

Mark at Lanogaurd actually recommends a fine coat of matt black aerosol quickly followed by the lanogaurd

I did my 90.

Took the wheels off to really get into it.

Recommend putting a tarpaulin down and wearing a disposable overall. The garage smelt for weeks.

Very happy with application. Great facepoke page answering most of the questions I had.

Colour has gone darker. Looks great underneath.

Applied the grease, after heating, to any really vulnerable areas.

I've used Lanoguard and have been very pleased with the results, however, I have noticed that even after its fully cured, it can be very difficult to clean. My 110 is used off road (construction sites) and gets muddy but no amount of power washing will get all of the brown off. Only method I found to clean it was TFR and a scrub followed by jet.

Seen a few people recommending adding graphite powder to turn it black.

I wasn’t that impressed with it, it went like glue and just stuck dirt to it and fell off. I had much better luck with bilt hamblers dynax ub and s50, although i was even more impressed with dinotrols coroheat
