Judging by the amount of time he spends looking at the camera and not at the road, there must be some system, possibly electronic to keep him on the straight and narrow and avoid hitting other road users. Whistle 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You can get them in the UK. A few to choose from if they float your boat. If you want new you’ll need to have the V8 I think. For the old school 6 you’d have settle for one that’s been pre-run in.

They look like Australian imports as opposed to ex UN stock.

Which begs the question, where do they go at the end of their working lives. The UN is one of the most corrupt organisations in the world so i can't image that they will take their own 'green' advice and rebuild them when they can have governments of the worlds paying for brand new sparkly vehicles.

Any ideas folks?

They are Aussie imports, but some of them are almost as basic as the UN ones. My guess is most of the NGO ones get disposed of locally, sold off, bribed away or left behind to rot. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

UN Toyota 4Runners operating in Bosnia were neither put back into reserve stock after their service lives, nor sold to the general public.

They were that good they were classed as "military vehicles" and had to be physically destroyed (I know, I lived and worked in Sarajevo for four years and tried desperately to buy one!).

Criminal waste. Greta would not be happy about that...can't say I'd blame her. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

At least she'll be happy none of those dirty diesels that don't pass European emissions regulations will be used over here.

Perfectly fine for them to do countless years of service with their higher emissions in lesser developed areas of the world though. Rolling Eyes

Yet another set of regulations only applied in certain areas, to some people making them pay more under the umbrella of saving the planet whilst not being universally applied to all of the planet.

If toyota had the 70 series over here it would wipe the floor with the other double cabs doing the rounds as the DeFacto utility and farmers wagon, far more sturdy and of course would have to have that nice V8 diesel Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest
