[Wanted] Storage box for rear load area
I'm currently doing a little project on my 90 and need a metal storage box with lid to bolt into the rear load area.

Internal box dimensions need to be at least:
50cm long
25cm wide
40cm high

If anyone has anything remotely matching/near that description please let me know! New boxes seem to be pretty expensive...

Many thanks Thumbs Up BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Have you looked for ammo boxes, they come in lots of sizes.

Do you get anywhere with this? I have something, but it may be a bit big for what you want.

This is strangely like what I'm after only I can go 60cm wide...

So far I'm found the closest are old flight cases, the amo box's don't seem that high (at least not the ones I have found).

Also my mate bought some van tool box from amazon but I can not longer find them as they were metal and quite cheap.

Thanks for the offer of the box above. Unfortunately it is too long. It needs to be around 50cm long as I intend to bolt it to the tub wheel arch and anything longer means I will need to remove one of the side facing seats. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

I haven't been able to find any ammo boxes which are anywhere near tall enough.
I have seen some metal storage boxes intended to be bolted to trailers to carry ratchet straps etc but these are a couple of hundred pounds. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

There was a company - barebox - did wheel arch mounted boxes and cubby boxes. I know they stopped that, but I have one of their rear boxes which I do intend to sell at some stage.

I’m afraid it’s on top of the shelves in the garage right now, so I wouldn’t be able to get dimensions till tomorrow evening, but looking at your needs it wouldn’t be far off.

I’ll take pics and measurements and post tomorrow if you’re still needing something.

(edit - might be a bit too long on 2nd thoughts, but I’ll measure it up anyway.) Donald

Thanks, but unfortunately too wide to fit on the tub wheel arch. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Here we go then, see what you think. If it’s any use I can consider a price and postage.

Edit - photos got compressed via email. If it’s not readable, it’s 81cm long / 28cm high / 34.5cm wide(deep). I do have the keys for the locks. Donald

Thanks for the offer, the box looks great, but unfortunately would require me to remove the side facing seat so will pass on it.
If you are selling, no doubt someone else will snap it up. Thumbs Up BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group
