Part number for dash fixing
Does anyone know the part number for the white square screw fixing which holds the trim panel in place under the Puma gauges?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the info, it wasnt the right part but it led me to this. Strangely I think it's part 5 which is not on the diagram... and it says it's blue when mine is white!

Do they look anything like the pics and links in the below thread?

the clips on the parts diagram are blue like those in the link you sent... but the clips under my dash are white as per the picture above.... could be that my clips are not original? That would not surprise me!

Mayble I'll order the blue ones and try them - they are very expensive for small bits of plastic!

Thanks for the info

So I got some of the blue fixings from ebay but they don't fit and the hole is too small for the screw.

Maybe this has been bodged before, but I have these white fixings and one is split.

They need to have a big enough hole to accept the screw that secures the the plastic trim

Any ideas what this part is and where I can get one?

Hi Andy,

I’ve just unscrewed mine to have a look, and mine actually has a metal nut insert, which must be fitted behind the fixing panel, and then an M6 threaded torx headed bolt that fixes the trim in place. I think that perhaps the metal nut insert on yours has fallen out behind the dash, and someone has fitted the white insert in the hole, and forced the machine screw in. Have you checked the fixing on the other side of the trim to see if it is the same,

Good luck,
Ashby Andy

I’ve just noticed as well that the screw holding the actual binnacle isn’t original, these are black torx, and have a long self tapping type thread, ie not machine screws. Yours has obviously been removed in the past, and the original screws have been lost or misplaced,

Hi Andy, thanks for looking at yours, that really helps.

Mine is the same both sides, so a double bodge! It also looks like the hole in the plastic has been hacked about too.

You've given me an idea... These M6 Jack nuts should push through the enlarged hole and hopefully tighten up and grip when the screw goes in.

Hopefully this will work!

Mine are also torx head. But the LRW site shows a Philips head. Maybe there were variations over the years?
