Hi got the tax class info from Ineos its N1 so if you spec a Station wagon up to Belstaff spec the first registration is £2300 instead of £290+50 for the N1 then its £500 a year Tax for the Belstaff and £290 for the N1 station wagon. Thats £2800 cheaper over 5 years for virtually the same vehicle minus a jacket .

I specced up a Belstaff and it came up £66,020.04 delivered.

I specced up a SW with exactly what I wanted and it came to £61,830

And the SW is cheaper on road tax too Thumbs Up

There are differences in the second row of seats between the Belstaff and SW but I’m not sure how much you would actually notice it and save a few thousand pounds might help.

I think the rear seats are 3"/10cm further forward and more upright. I would want to sit in there before I commit either way I think and even then its still not a done deal.

I wonder if once the SW is built if the seats can be retrofitted back to normal setting at all?

The SW / Utility have to obey different speed limits.

LGV with a weight of 3.5T:

Single carriageway 50mph

Dual Carriageway 60mph

That was enough for me to go for the Trialmaster!

Build date November 2022. 110 DCPU

Puma 110 owner here with a L663 on order... but the Grenadier is intriguing me...

Personally I think they've nailed the spec... basically a 110 with performance/ comfort upgrades... hopefully better build quality too. A 110 with an auto gearbox and apple CarPlay - imagine!

Yes I am soft. But also, it's no longer the 1990's.

I'm seriously wondering about my L663 order (and wether I can get my deposit back)

You may have a little wait for a Grenadier order, so perhaps get the Defender in the meantime?

I agree with you on the spec. Looks bloody good to me! 110 DCPU

I've not looked into delivery times... any ideas? Defender is a year, so... longer than that...?

Presume Aus will be one of the last places on Earth that it arrives, as with many things.

I'm visiting family in UK next week, am hopeful of there being a Grenadier around, somewhere, to have a look at...?

: )

I would assume it'll be in excess of a year if you've yet to place an order. Mine has a build date of November this year, but I placed my initial reservation within a few hours of the Grenadier going live.

In terms of viewing a vehicle, I'd suggest contacting INEOS.

Good luck Thumbs Up 110 DCPU

I think that the boat has sailed….

For the private buyer looking for a Defender replacement that is more acceptable because it uses adblue the increases in the cost of living, fuel costs, the increases in VED, the increase in ULEZ areas that will only tighten their criteria in the future……..

It’s a toy and no longer a necessity.

Ineos should have seen the writing on the wall and had a hybrid ready to go.

I liked the prototype when I saw it……but things have moved on at such a rate so unless you really need it, it’s hard to justify.

Could it end up like the G Wagen and being priced in a way the rich will then want to buy it because of the rarity factor.

We shall wait and see.

This statement by Markb110 is exactly what I said about the new defender before it’s release. JLR want to replace every single model in its fleet with electric by 2030 yet they are still pumping out feckin V8s. Shocked
