Struggling to start
Hi there, I went to start my TD5 as normal but experienced a hiccup. It started for a second and looked like normal, and then cut out. I then went to try and start it again and it turned over for a good 10-15 seconds before it started again and then was fine.

I have since started it up and driven it and it hasn't occurred since.

My fuel tank was in the red was the only reason i could think of, (but i would say top end of empty). Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Given your low low low fuel level I suspect that was the problem. However, I would begin with checking the fuel filter housing, these are known to corrode and allow air into the system.

Do you have access to an OBD code reader? It would be useful to check whether you have any recorded on the ECU.

At least it has not happened again Thumbs Up

My TD5 regularly does this if I allow the fuel level to go too low, it introduces air into the fuel system and then needs bleeding.
