Nugget replacement air filter cartridge
Hi all

With regards to the Nugget housing, does anyone have a part number or link for a replacement air filter cartridge, Nugget of course sell them but I’m fairly sure it’s a commonly used filter and it seems a little OTT to get one shipped !

Thank you in advance

Yes, it’s a Nissan small truck filter. The part number is engraved on the airbox lid. You can get a Baldwin (a good make) branded one from In-Line filters in the U.K. you just need to cross references on their site. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I should say, I haven’t bought one yet, so I guess there’s a small chance it may not be be right, so bear that in mind.

I’ve used Baldwin filters from In Line for my tractor and other machinery for years, so I can vouch for them. They also sell Mann Pro Vents if your ever in need. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thank you Bluest

I will have a look on the air-box lid for the part number.
I haven’t changed it in over 18 months, I’m not getting quite the Grunt that I used to from the engine and thought it may be an obvious place to start ! https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/

Never hurts to stick fresh filter in. I got the airbox with gauge on it that supposed tell you when filters due to be changed, but not sure I trust it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

The idea is you don’t reset it, you leave it and when it reached the indicator the filter needs changing. You just reset it when a new filter goes in. There’s no harm in resetting it more often, but it’s not needed. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Yes, it's a bit less disturbing to shop round and get a top-quality filter for around £12 than fork out around £60 for a "Nugget-branded" one. Thumbs Up

thanks for the info blackwolf, I’ve been contemplating fitting a nugget stuff air intake to my 2.2 puma and one of the things I’ve been researching is where an alternative quality but cheaper air filter can be sourced.

I’m thinking of using it without a raised air intake, so best ideas on solutions for connecting to wing intake would be appreciated.

I’m just fitting a new BAS intercooler plus BAS intercooler silicon hoses as my intercooler just split. So hoping the addition of a nugget stuff filter box to the bas hoses and intercooler will provide the best cooled airflow into my std map engine.

Views appreciated on if it’s worth it on a std map.

You will certainly notice the difference provided that you replace the pipework from the wing intake to the filter housing. If you don't replace this, there's little point changing the filter housing.

Assuming that you wish to continue using the standard wing orifice, probably the best option is to use the Nugget upgraded intake pipework from the wing to the filter along with the Nugget filter.

The original pipework from the wing to the filter box is a masterclass in inept design, if there are any flaws it doesn't incorporate I really can't think what they are! Rolling with laughter

Thanks blackwolf, looks like that’s going to be my next mod. Once I complete the intercooler installation.

Regarding the filters that fit in the nugget stuff airbox.

These are the ones quoted by Parts In Motion as equivalent to the ones Blackwolf listed above. PIM are a parts supplier I tend to use for true OEM EGRs etc .

Interesting to note is the height of the filter for different manufacturers ranges from 175-178mm and the hole in the bottom, that if I recall correctly, sits on the conical rubber mount in the airbox, ranges from circa 8-10mm, I expect both measurements combine to insure a tight fit
