FM v DAB+ v TuneIn preference
Usually use FM, but even in my Freelander 2, DAB sounds better. Might be more to do with the reception, but which do you use and why?

I get the audio quality thing about FM, but to my ears DAB+ (Which is supposed to have better quality than DAB) might just sound “clearer”. Never used TuneIn but guessing it’s less reliable in areas of poor cellular signal?

Just listening to BBC mainly so don’t need obscure overseas stations.

Not used FM for years.

DAB seems to be better quality and the station I listen to is only on DAB.

When DAB was less widespread reception would often switch back and forth between DAB and FM as signal strength changed. DAB always sounder better.

Here it’s FM or nothing. No DAB coverage outside of major towns and the TuneIn relies on the car’s cellular connection which comes and goes as you go from glen to glen. My phone has much better coverage and streaming Spotify from that works well enough, the occasional buffering pause in poor signal areas.

I can never tell the difference between quality on FM compared to DAB or anything else.

I usually use DAB, no reason why or music from my phone. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
