TD5 custom radio surround printed
So after my thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic81951.html

I bit the bullet and bought the stereo. (I won't list where from as the customer service from them was appalling)

Quick mounting so I could use it for a few days to make sure I was happy with it before proper mounting.

Initial playing with it:

Printing the surround ~12hours:

I can understand why you've done this, the Mud double DIN is a little Shocked but hey.

Curious how is visibility of the screen from the drivers seat?

Screen visibility fine from drivers seat. This stereo has a screen that can be viewed from quite an angle.

I didn’t want to spend £100+ on a mud stuff surround. Too pricey for someone who had a 3d printer.

My defender is full of printed parts. If you print that upside down you can get a nice finish on the first layer. Thumbs Up Andy

I was tempted to print upside down but then I’d have loads of support material which is sometimes hard to remove.
