Land Rover Wheel Interchange-ability
I have done a search, and found varoius bits of info, but just wanted to clarify and confirm...

So, for a new TDCi/Puma, I understand:

Defender TD5 wheels are fully interchangeable with Puma?
Disco 1 wheels are fully interchangeable with Puma?
RR P38 Wheels also fit / interchangeable with Puma?

Discovery 2, 3 & 4 wheels are different PCD and are not interchangeable (without an adaptor kit).

Disco 1 and P38 wheels may NOT have the sufficient load rating for a fully laden 110 though...

Is that all correct?

Thanks Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

P38 wheels are definitely NOT interchangeable. They have a different stud spacing.

Range Rover Classic wheels are but some early ones are not rated for use on 110's or 130's. That may also apply to some Disco 1 alloy wheels too, but I don't have the data to hand to check. Disco 1 steel wheels are as tough as old boots. Darren

I didn't think that standard Series and Defender steel wheels were rated sufficient for use on a 130 either, I thought that Wolf steels had to be used.

P38 do not fit - they have a different PCD and are the same as the Disco 2 Thumbs Up John

You're probably right. You could get away with either 1 tonne or forward control wheels (not the 101 type, obviously Wink ), although unless they were immediately to hand, I'm not sure if anyone would bother. Darren

Thanks, gentlemen

I expect to take delivery of a Puma 110 on Tuesday, and was going to get a 2nd set of wheels, and put winter/offroad tyres on (probably AT's from BFG or AT2's).

Looks like Disco 1 or Defender TD5 wheels are easiest to source so I'll see what's available...

I personally would not fit any wheel older than the vehicle actually is and there is no way i would fit Disco1 or Defender Freestyle alloys from an early TD5.... I bought a demo mileage set of SVX alloys and kept my Boosts for winter. Why not a set of Wolf steels? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

RED-DOT - not wishing to be arguamentative, but can you elaborate? I was just looking at the 'bay, and thinking about a 2nd hand set of Freestyle's, getting them re-furbished, and a new set of AT's...

Is there a reason (technical or whatever) why I shouldn't?Cheers Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Freestyles on a 110 - hmmmmm.

I'd go for Wolf steels - ooops I already have. Steve.

A "fully laden" 110 on Freestyles that are now probably 11 years old.. its your risk and if anything happens warranty or insurance wise you will be on a loser... plus why make your Puma look older by fitting old wheels? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

This is actually a good point. Freestyles (and the earlier 200 series alloys - Castor?) are not rated for a 110. ISTR they're only rated at 850kg, whereas Boosts are 1100kg. Freestyles were only ever offered on 90's for this reason. Darren

That was what i meant to say but never had the figures... plus they look naff... Boosts or SVX are fine but why do we all not fit bulkhead flaps and concave bonnets for that "Retro" look? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
