UPPER TO LOWER BODY JOINT
Hi,

I try to solve a water ingress problem on my Puma SW, any one an idea or experience on this problem?

Best wishes and wish you all fun and safe driving in 2022.

Many thanks for your help.
Greetings from Antwerp, Belgium

Hi.... That looks to be a lot of foam in the gap.... What's the gap like on the outside?

It could be you have too much foam so it is not clamping down enough to seal. I only have a single rubber seal in that position and it seals fine.

Unsure if this is a HT (Hard Top) or a SW (Station Wagon), as the pictures show the rear sliding windows...

All SW that I know have an extra bit of foam due to the bulkhead delete, item 4 in this link:
https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...er_44867#4

My SW also have the additional foam on the inside of the standard sealing foam. I believe that is an attempt to make it a bit quitter inside, and is not meant to keep the water out. The outer seal, not visible in any of the pics attached should keep the water out.

Ensure that all side panels to tub fixing nuts are tight, top and bottom. I had one nut come loose from the underside of the tub cappings. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Looks like the wrong seal in there and also looks like it has a joint in it where the water is coming in.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll check the outside gap one of these days and keep you posted.
