When you dent or crease steel like this it can stretch in the areas where the fold is sharpest (the ends of the crease), so it will be difficult to totally smooth out. Be careful of trying too hard as sometimes you can make it worse.

I was a sheet metal worker but a panel beater would be able to give the best advice. However remember this is stainless steel and it is not as forgiving as mild steel. Also, as this is polished rather than painted, you don't have a coating to hide any small marks.
