Can LR Dash Cam footage be accessed from outside the car?
e.g. via an App or a URL? I can do this on my home cameras and wondered if the dash cam supported it.

You can view the footage using the dashcam app, to download you need to remove the memory card and transfer it to a computer.

This video from Powerful UK shows the setup and use Thumbs Up

Hi,

You don’t need to remove the card to download.

You can select the “events” or files you want in the Dashcam App and download them to your phone or tablet to view or e-Mail etc later.

We have the LR dashcam on both our D90 and my new RRS.

That's even better. One last Q: can the dash cam be retro fitted by the dealer? (I haven't specified it on the build spec)

If you choose the dash cam, mudflaps, sidesteps, roofrack etc they come from the factory without them and they are all dealer fit accessories so your dealer should be able to fit it when your car arrives. The only problem may be that if it is specified after build they may want to charge you extra but with a little negotiation you should get it for the build price. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

nobbyclark,

As already mentioned, dashcam, mudflaps , mats etc are dealer fit items, whether on your original order or not.

If you have them fitted at PDI or within 30 days of delivery, they get the three year warranty as offered on the vehicle.

The price in the accessories brochure or on configurator includes fitting, so the price shouldn’t change depending on when you have them fitted!
