who offers 3 inch raised air intakes
Many brands out there, but none seem to describe their inner diameters. Looking to go with a 3 inch vs 2.5 inch for my TDI. Who should I be looking at (ARB, Mantec, P&P, etc)?

I think Performance & Protection in UK do a 3" pipe, I was after one a while back, but from memory it is a ridiculous amount for a bent piece of steel pipe. £300+ & you don't even get an intake top

The offering from Nakatanenga is a nice piece of kit, albeit at a price. You may need to adapt the length of the hose under the bonnet though, as I can't remember where the air filter box is on a 300tdi.

Whilst I appreciate that it's a completely different engine, it's made a world of difference to the pickup and driveability of my 2.2tdci.

I don't know where it would be easiest for you to buy from but mine came from their UK distributor:

P&P do one, works really well, especially if you have a roll cage fitted but it’s not cheap

Works with either a safari top or a Donaldson prefilter

thank you all. looks like all roads lead to only a few products. I see the Nakatanenga snorkels are listed as 80mm. can someone confirm the ID? Nakatanenga doesn't list product brand for their snorkels, so I can't tell what's their own product versus others.

Nakatanenga's snorkels are their own make. The tubes are powder coated aluminium so the ID is probably 77-78mm. Darren

That looks great Jimbo - is it on a PP cage or an SD one?

Another one for PandP cages RAI here. Mine is attached to a SD roll cage and works a treat. Replaced the scoop for a cyclonic top as the scoop didn't filter out enough of the rain we get here in Wales Wink

Cheers Matt, it’s a P&P internal and external cage -external front hoop with internal b hoop with a cross in it and diagonal back stays.

Can always make one from exhaust sections. If you cant weld, buy they bits and have it done.

Do love your 110.

What did you do on the inside once you'd made it through the wing?

3.5" wire reinforced flexi pipe, then runs off to a Wrecker Fab airbox with an ITG 300tdi filter. 3" outlet from the filter to the turbo. Instagram @defender_ventures
