What else should I do while the Puma dash is out?
I’m going to retrofit AC to my puma. While I’ve gone to the faff of removing the dash, are there any other jobs I should line up at the same time? I’m thinking sound deadening of the bulkhead, tidying up any of the looms to stop rattling etc. What else? Is there any bulkhead rust proofing to be done that can’t be reached with it in place?

Cheers
Col

You could renew the wiper wheel boxes if yours have a bit of play. Even if it’s all in good nick, you could clean the mechanism out and re grease it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

De rust and paint the 2 lower brackets that hold the dash. IIRC there is a ground on the driver side, next to the fuse box, so make sure you remove the paint around the hole for proper grounding.
I removed every plastic insert and sprayed ACF50 in every hole I could find behind the dash. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
