This is going to sound simplistic but are you sure the IPAC connector is secure on the rear and locked in properly?
It has a kind of locking tab mechanism to it.

Dust, sand, moisture in the connector or other connectors have been known to be culprit.

If it wasn’t doing before the works were done, but now is, you can very likely safely say it’s the components that have been removed or refitted that’s the culprit.

Take a very close look at the connector and pins / sockets and blow them out.

Beyond that failure of soldered PCB tracks has happen to a few, though not common but difficult to diagnose and find.

Australia 2012 Defender 110 V8 Petrol CSW Auto Blenheim Silver
I’ve totally replaced andrewired the connectors with new from the UK just in case over a year ago.
I also resoldered the joints at the back of my cluster, incase some were broken/dry.
No change unfortunately.
