As greeni says, look at the relays, take them out and test them to make sure they are operating correctly, you’ll probably find one is dead if it’s gone pop, relays do go especially if they are cheap ones and aren’t used for ages.

If the relays are all okay then check the earths,

Do you have ignition power and power to prime the fuel filter still? Or is it dead completely?

I’d be looking at the main relays then if you’ve got nothing at all

Have you physically checked if the fuses under the driver seat have power to them.

As already mentioned, check the cable from gearbox to battery -ve. Don't just look at it and yank it to see if it's tight. Remove, clean, refit. I had 6 weeks of misery trying to fix a similar fault - partial electrics and no start - outside in the eternal rain of autumn 2019 whenever I had the time and felt up to it. I left the wipers turned on whilst I crawled underneath trying connections and listening for the wipers to come back to life. The gearbox cable was as tight as. But when I bent the terminal a bit, wipers came alive. Bent it back, they stopped. Almost had tears of happiness mixing with the rain. I heard the same crack as you when it first died.

When I disconnected the cable for cleaning it looked ok and I would never have thought it could have been the problem but it certainly was.

Just to thank everyone for the input on this .. problem solved .
Suffice to say the original battery was reading 12.9 so my assumption was that it was ok however slow to accept a charge of any sort . Checked the relays fuses and earth straps all good .
Ordered a new battery as that was the plan anyway.. fitted this morning and she fired up first go ..
thank you all ..
Case of knackerd battery it was dropping to 8.7 when the ignition key was turned ..
