I’m in contact with him. It’s worrying that 3 people including me all in the last week have major problems with the D250

Surely the 200 and 300 share enough parts that they would suffer the same issues?

There’s a whole topic section on mine below this one ‘intelligent AWD only drives in 2WD’ I haven’t had any feedback from the dealership engineers but they have been working on it for a week now. I have been checking the the remote app about 6 separate rolling test drives and about 50 miles on the clock lol LR solutions are involved they are going to phone me today with an update.

Hmmmmm..... I am just about to pull the trigger on a 110 D250 HSE after humming and harring for a couple of months. This news doesn’t fill me with confidence so I think I will wait a little longer before making a decision.

I had to reject a L494 RRS after 4 months of ownership a couple of years ago. Very stressful and not something that I want to go through again!

Yeah I’m worried about mine especially not knowing what the engineers have found, I would of thought they should of given me an update by now. Not impressed by the service department at all they sent the vehicle back in a worse state than it was taken into them for the reported faults the first time it went in.

Blimey Digger, I have just read about the problems you are having Shocked

I think I’m going to chicken out putting my order in and instead wait 6 months or so. It’s so disappointing when a new car fails to perform or work as it should whether it be a Ford Fiesta or a Land Rover Defender. It just leaves a nasty taste in your mouth eh?

I hope you get sorted Digger.

To anyone who's dithering on an order because of what you're reading here, no disrespect to Digger2000, but don't fall into the trap of tarring all D250's with the same brush - this is one car.

As above, delaying an order won’t change anything. If it’s going to fail it’s going to fail. I’m on my 11th LR or will be, if I listened to the forums I’d never have bought my first.

We just received 6 new double decker buses at work, and one lasted a day on the road, it’s now parked up with nobody able to work out the issue. It can happen to any vehicle/manufacturer. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

To quote others "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence".

Unless you know the details of the failure on this engine which make it a unique event; or indeed if that is an accurate diagnosis, then it's not possible to say one way or the other.

Given the nature of mass production, quality standards, singular techniques, automated and calibrated assembly sequences, it may well be harder to introduce a unique fault, rather than a fault traced to a batch of components, faulty torque gun, out of alignment sensor, etc, which would lead to a number of common errors across a range of assembled vehicles.

Laws of averages says one day I will smack my thumb with a hammer whilst knocking a nail in. All manufactures must have a allowance for failure. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
