Rear door central locking part unobtainable
Hi guys

In need of the bell crank to fit the rear door for the central locking. Unfortunately, I've looked everywhere online and nobody has them in stock, and their suppliers and land rover have no clue when to expect them.

I just wondered if anyone had made their own, or even have some dimensions i could have one 3d printed, or make one?

Above is the picture of the part I'm after. I'm not even sure how it fits to the door, is it like a bush inside it?

Cheers guys

What’s the part number on that, is there not one like that on the front doors also? Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

Yep though that was on one of the other doors also but it’s not. I was thinking of the actuator. If you do locate a supple post here as I also need one soon. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

Looking at the photo in this thread - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post715270.html - it wouldn'tbe too difficult to make a substitute for this, it is a very simply pivot and it looks as though one of the three "arms" isn't used anyway.

I’m sure you’ve thought of this, but, if they only use two of the three holes in it, and they are fitted to both doors, could you swap your left hand side one with right hand side one, if it’s broken through a rod hole, or is it broken elsewhere?

I have one on the bench since i removed the CL from the rear door, however it will go back in soon,

I'm happy to post it to someone if they can scan it for measurements for 3d printing, then send it back if this helps

other than that, i can do some measurements for you,

As Blackwolf said, only 2 of the holes are actually used.

Thanks for your replies everyone. There's certainly some options to go at thats for sure. I think its got to be fairly similar to the original as the pressing of the door has a recess to suit the motion of it.
