Afternoon all,
Are the angled corner bits absolute garbage or am i just being thick? Have got the window channel and spacer kits for the front and rear doors from SP4x4. I know the aftermarket bits are not going to be great quality but there is no way i am paying the stupid prices for the genuine bits. I have some brand new genuine doors. The long plastic window spacer pieces (which fit under the window channel and space the channel inwards) which fit really well into the door with a nice satisfying snap into position. The window channel fits nice and snugly into the recess. It is the corner pieces I am having trouble with though. I am sure they are meant to fit into the ends of the spacers but it seems they are just too wide and just splay the ends of the spacer profile outwards. They just look a total bodge and dont think will even fit in situe. You can see in the pictures that the corner profiles just seem too wide to fit inside. Has anyone else come across this? As i am happy with the fit of the plastic spacer channels I decided to just 3D print some of the 90 and 118deg corner pieces which are a nice precise fit.

When my old 90 was falling apart, I had the passenger window channels with their respective plastic trims removed, and the glass was just packed with some closed cell foam and a piece of wood to support the glass
Years had passed, and when I restored the door I found that the plastic trim (original) had deformed, twisted, warped and what not. Also the corner pieces did not fit.
