Owners Manual and Service Costs
Hi

Just ordered a 2021 Defender 3.0 - 300HSE - Delivery March (probably)

The dealer called today to say there is a problem with Order - Comfort and Convenience packs are out of Stock... WTF?

Anyway..

Was looking for an owners manual (not the iGuide)

Also anyone know the Service Costs?

My dealer could not tell me... They needed a Vin or Reg Number to find out....

Many Thanks

So they’ve run out of fridges, meridian sound systems and colour changing bulbs Confused Seems strange

Owners manual you won’t get one. Only iGUIDE these days or the owners info website.

Wow - That's not good.... its not very..... informative....

What are the service frequencies also?

I know there is the internal system... but assuming motorway driving is it 2 years 21,000 miles... dealer could not tell me and thought it may have been every year on the 3.0 TDI

Not sure on the service costs for the latest spec P300, but I "borrowed" the registration number of a current P300 from the LR Approved sales website and put it into the service plan calculator.

Looks like a service is needed every two years/21k miles. Average service cost per year during 1st 6 years of ownership (assuming 10,500 miles per year maximum) would be £370.

Sorry just read your reply about it being a diesel.

Same check but on a D240 gives this. I can't see the service interval being different for the new MHEV 3 litre diesel.

Many Thanks

So more than likely

£500 first Service

£700 Second Service

£1000 Third Service - if you Pay as You Go?

There is definitely supply chain issue, my order (MY21) was due on 26th of November but just received a call from my dealership saying that due to covid now they except the car mid December.

I’m planning on fitting the fridge myself, was easy on the Disco 4 so shouldn’t be too hard on the Defender. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

This website here is pretty much word for word what would be in the manual, though they haven’t added 21MY

I have looked there - but like I say - its not very detailed instruction or explanation on how the systems work.

I was looking for more details to read and understand - during the 4 month wait....

MANY THANKS for the replies.

LRs manuals, be it hard copy or digital, aren’t the best. There is a few instructional videos from LR on YouTube but I think it’s mainly phone connectivity and stuff like that.
