Is it orange instead of yellow, maybe? Could be C2004/C2005 connecting the rear doors (blue/purple door switches, others central locking motors).

Thanks for the reply, does that mean one of them could be live when ignition is on to allow a feed to a switch and then a relay to power a work light?

Nope - none of those is an ignition feed.

If you have a 90 it's unused, it's the connector for the second row doors - central locking motors and door switches.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Sadly the purple wire is not present on mine as it’s 2014 and they apparently stopped putting it in 2013 , I am sure there must be something under the seat that is switched after ignition if not I’ll have to take one off of a wire behind the dash as I’ve got to fit a switch there anyway but thanks for your help all of you. I only wanted a work light that switches on at the dash via a relay under seat but it’s proving to be a right ball ache to do it properly Rolling Eyes

If it’s unused does that mean it’s not connected either end or could I fit a relay in the appropriate place and instead of powering windows power a light ? Probably grabbing at straws but electrics in defenders never seem logical or it’s possibly just me

It's unused as you don't have the second row of doors. It's connected to the alarm ECU at the other ends of the wires Wink  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
