Engine cover
Are the defender and disco td5 engine covers the same?
Disconones seem to me cheaper than defender ones and I wonder why. Clearly cheaper the better when I buy one.
Cheers.

Probably the classic, its a Defender so charge what you like.

My wife had a Discovery 2 in the past , i cant think that there is a difference.

Defender and disco are definitely the same, I have a spare one off a disco that I plan on modifying before fitting - but it will fit as standard straight off a disco Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Guess we could do with a parts interchange list somewhere so we know which Disco parts fit a Defender so we can check if they're cheaper.

Must be more than the engine cover thats a match.

Same with the in tank fuel pumps...

Disco used to be much cheaper than defender (don't know if this is still the case)

Just get a disco one, unclip the float arm and swap it with the float arm off of your defender pump

job done

Just bought a discovery 2 MOT failure for parts, what axle parts are swappable, rear shafts and front and rear diffs is all I can think of. To go onto a 05 110 td5?

Yeah that's about it for the axles I believe.

There's a few things I can think of off the top of my head but can't say with 100% accuracy

Air box is the same apart from the air in elbow which can be swapped for the defender one Thumbs Up

Front row interior lights

Headlamp level switch

3rd brake light

Heated front window switch

Heated seat switches

Swan neck tow ball is a good upgrade as it gives you more clearance with the spare (especially for alko friction stabilisers)

Gearbox*

Transfer box* (both need defender parts to swap onto them)

Bonnet stay

Exhaust downpipe

Steering box I think 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thanks Grafty, pretty much what I thought but no head lamp level on my defender.
Transfer box does not have the selector casting.
Rad similar but one pipe outlet different.
