Do you happen to know what sizes of tyres have TÜV approval on ZUs? There should be a pamphlet with them. Can't find the original info anywhere Sad
A listing on eBay limits them to 235/70R16 and 255/85R16 - I want 265s (265s are approved on my 7 x 16 steel Dotz rims).
Cheers

Great stuff, sure you won't be disappointed, good choice going to AJS, I've bought a tyre or two there before and always been very well looked after! Thumbs Up Bow down

Hi Bigfog,

Many thanks for your kind offer - I have been away working so sorry for the delayed response. On the basis of the rave reviews on here, I went ahead and got some fitted this morning.

So far, I'm really pleased and many thanks to Andy and Dean at AJS Tyres for a great job.

All the very best,

Peter

I have the original STs & am really Censored that Cooper don't make them in 255/85 as they di the originals, so am stuck for a spare to match, or replacement.

All the Cooper dealers I called checked & can't get hold of any. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Hi Mick,
Mine have been on for a good 40k and still have loads of meat on them. I've been totally impressed with these tyres, they're very quiet and grip very well in all circumstances, I do about 30k per year, so road performance is very important, and I tend to drive a lot of twisty country lanes with my foot planted to the floor in order to harness all that Mr Bell Bow down has been able to enhance my car with! They hold very well indeed!! Thumbs Up 2009 XS 110 Utility Stornaway Grey

Done about 4000 miles on mine - very quiet, but too early yet to really know if they are wearing well.

Next test is how well they cope with proper icy roads and soft and/or compacted frozen snow.... Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Any feedback on how well these tyres handle in the wet?

Hmmm, even with 4 full sets of tyres and wheels I feel that these could be a worth while addition for summertime driving whilst towing the caravan. Wink I was going to buy a set of these to replace the GG but unfortunately fekete gave me a heads up on Devon 4x4 stocking Mickey Thompson's in 265/75 x 16 which I got instead off. Very Happy

Has anybody with these fitted had any issues with the grip in the wet? I thought that 265/75 x 16 would be a good size, anybody running with these fitted and doing a lot of towing in the 2-3.5 ton ( Caravan and Cattle trailer, obviously not at the same time, we live in Britain old boy not the Antipodes. Whistle ) range over long distances?

Brian.

As before on these tyres, I do about 30k per annum, have maxed out on all available performance improvements short of LPG injection and drive hard and fast in all environments. I live in the Kent Weald with plenty damp and twisty country lanes to enjoy. The tyres are dependable and predictable in every sense and after about 12 months still surprise me, and the saloon cars I chase, with the amount of grip they offer, even in the wet. Anyone in or near me is welcome to try!! Oh and they're oh so quiet too!
