Central Locking Itself
Here's one I haven't noticed before and searching the TD5 sub-forum cannot find. I'll recreate the situation, this has happened twice today:

1. I press unlock button on remote fob
2. Doors unlock (I can hear the motors actuating the lock, I can see the buttons pop up in the interior)
3. Indicators flash, so far so good
4. I faff about for some time, not opening a door
5. Landy relocks itself & indicators flash

To get back in I have to press the button again, fortunately still with me.

The second time it happened I had opened the rear door, relocks itself, beeps twice because the door is open.

Is this something to do with a low battery problem? I went to drive somewhere on Sunday and it wouldn't start so I jumped it, drove there and back without a hitch. The little indicator on the battery is black which according to the manual means it needs a charge.

Thoughts gratefully received as I have to make a fairly long solo journey on Saturday morning.

Relock is a selectable feature in the 10AS so if you don't open a door before 30 seconds after unlocking it relocks.

Strange though that you had opened a door and it knew it (by beeping the horn) but still locked anyway Confused

If you have access to a nanocom then it might be worth disabling the feature to see if it cures it Thumbs Up

Edit: not sure if you have to open the drivers door to stop it relocking. As the alarm unit sees the drivers door as a separate door to the others Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Standard on mine, unlock the doors, load shopping in the back horn beeps as it tries to re lock - get nasty looks off person in adjoining space who's just cr4pped themselves!

Next time, unlock car, open drivers door, load shopping all, is good.

Interesting, I can't believe in 5 years of ownership I hadn't noticed that before! I wonder if it was turned off but somehow has been reactivated by the low battery state?

Yes, this was what really threw me. If it had relocked without a beep then I would be annoyed but I'd know it was likely that the repair I made a while ago to the rear door sensor had failed. But it knew there was a door open, so I think this links with your edit below and ickle's answer - you need to open the driver door to stop the 30 second relock timer?

It's quite possible that only the driver door deactivates the relock timer Exclamation

I'm sure the 10AS settings are 'hard coded' (for want of a better phrase) into the unit so power loss shouldn't alter the settings.

Easily deactivated with a nanocom or similar Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
