Nice try with the number plate but i have seen allot of vehicle's pulling caravans that you would make you look twice Shocked

yeah sometimes i do wonder if people do research things before they buy! My dad bought his replacement caravan some 15 years ago now, the van is practically close to been a double wheel base, and its some weight too, once loaded with cloths and other odds and sods.
The seller said the Peugeot 306 would be on the limit of towing it, and my dad had the 406, with the same engine. The 406 was practically down into second gear, and nearly on the limiter going up hills.
So the 406 was on the limit due to the weight.
My dad 3 years later decided to switch to the jeep due to the weight of the van, and then onto the defender.
So i do not get how a car the same weight has my 306 practically can get way with towing something heavier than itself!
Also stopping will be a pain in the arse too, My dad had some heart stopping moments of people just cutting him up. One time he smoked one of the caravan tyres due to some idiot cutting him off at the last moment! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Shocked
I have metros they do not make good tow cars at all! The rear toe eyes bolt on to the spare wheel well!

I do have a funny story mind, that my dad told me years ago when he was in his 20s. He was transporting his mums and dads caravan back from storage, he had a Series 3 landrover at the time, with a full blown bull bar at the front.
Anyway some fella in a sports car was trying to show off to his lass, by slowing down and pulling way, basically taking the mick. My dad sort of let him have his fun, for a little bit. Then as soon as the fella tried to slow down my dad dropped a gear and floored land rover. My dad said the bloke nearly died when he got a rear view full of Bull bar. My dad said that he mms of the lads arse end to the point he could have punted him. The bloke vanished very quickly after that Laughing
I have done tricks like that to with a rover metro too Whistle Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
