I used some slightly larger screws (took a bit of getting in) along with some washers as I Dremel’d the handle a bit to get it to sit flush

You wouldn’t want to swing from it but it’s ok to use for a hand up.

The bodge that I employed to fit these handles has been nagging me so today I did the job properly and tapped proper threads into the alloy mounting holes. They're M4 (not M5 as I originally thought) and it was quite easy to do except for not being able to use the standard 'T' handle for the tap because of the closeness to the windscreen:

I also took the opportunity to add some dense foam to the handles to take up the gap between them and the curved trim pieces:

All back together and they're both neater and more securely fixed:

Thinking of doing this mod and would be interested to see how it’s held up? Thanks

Thank you LRA for your HowTo post and pictures. I'll do exactly the same this weekend and will be able to positively answer to my mom today's question "is it possible to add a handle here?" Thumbs Up
