Can 5.25" speakers fit in front of puma?

Hello

During lockdown I have found some of my old car audio from years ago and am messing about to see if I can use it 👍

I would like to use Rockford Fosgate speakers in front with seperate tweeters but they don't do them in 4" so will 5.25" fit with a spacer?

These are my rears so far, not installed crossover, and had some spare silent coat from doing car so thought might as well use it

Yes it is possible to fit 5.25" speakers in the puma dash.
You need to be very careful of the speaker depth and magnet diameter in the passenger side though.
Barbel Jim gave me some good advice when fitting my Focals. - The heater duct can be warmed to soften the plastic enough to reshape it to clear the speaker. Take care not to wreck the duct or the dash. I wrapped aluminium foil around the dash hole before gently heating the duct with a blow torch!

Blowtorch on the dash plastic - you are very brave!

It definitely is the tight side on the passenger side for that size Speaker, very close fit across the board and externally where the dash tapers off vertically at the dash ends. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

OK so fitted the rears, 5 1/4 Rockford fosgate Punch with Focal Tweeters.

Quite tight getting everything back in especially on the right (drivers rear) as the 12v Socket and seems more wiring behind the speaker pod.

Massive improvement over the std speakers and this is just running off the head unit.

Thinking if I should go 5 1/4 at the front or stick with the easy option and 4"

Does the sound deadening material help improve the sound much when attached to the speaker panels?

No Idea....

I have spare from doing the car, I guess it must do something.

Without some sort of DB reader before and after its probably hard to tell. the speakers are better than previous standard ones so it sounds better anyway
