As mine was a pick-up and now a hardtop with a full rollcage with a cross behing the seats I moved the spare wheel carier from the rear bulkhead to the floor. I use that when I run the 35"Simexes. Normally I use 235 85 bfg and the spare off that goes on the rear door.

On this occasion using the 235 85 on the road and the spare on the door I needed to save space inside. 5 simexes, spare parts, toolbox and all camping gear was little much so from then I use a space saver for my Simexes. I just carry a spare inner tube.
I know at home it only takes me about 15 minutes to change an inner tube so off-road it might take a little longer.

Pro's and conn's for me.
when off-roading I have the space inside it will save the reardoor hindges. For normal use on the rear door I have more space inside. Roel

Agree re reaching back - at first I kept tw@ing my elbow on the tyre, but I soon got used to it. JB

Interesting - not long ago I had 2 flats on my Disco on the same lane and it wrecked the weekend away. I ended up buying a serviceable set of wheels and tyres on ebay in the middle of Wales!

I would like to know how to do a tube change as a bit of a skill in my back-pocket. I've got a set of tubed Rostyles to replace the Wolfs on my 90. JB

I use my high jack below my sidebar to push the tyre seal to the middle off the rim. And I have 2 crowbars with them Iget one side off the tyre off the rim and then you can change the innertube. Put a little air in so it sits nice and then put the tyre back on the rim with the crowbars. Be carefull not to damage thesealing area off the tyre.
Pump it up till the tyre seats again and relaese some pressure to your liking.
It is easy but it can be a bit off a workout. Roel

Thank you Thumbs Up I’m looking forward to trying the Fox out properly, I’ll share when I can, a trip to the MOT wasn’t enough to tell!
