thank you for kind comments.

Its coming along and lock down gave tonnes of time to work on it.

i still have a few things planned but its in use now and its easy how these things are soon forgotten!

Rear power sockets in

Shower system is plumbed in, run engine for 15mins from cold and shes good to go with 125kw heat exchanger for couple of people to shower with engine running. would easily do family of four.

80L on board water system is now in, i have gone simple with a fill in car cap as it were rather than external port and the outlet is just a coiled hose with a tap on it. again stored in vehicle and uncoiled when required.

foxwing could be a little longer now! with spare wheel carrier off set to one side further its tight getting around the back or will be with sides on the foxwing. the one thing i hadnt planned on!

the other slight hiccup is i used a ribbed roof (well two) and now i cant take the roof tent off unless i remove the rack as no space underneath. not the end of the world as tent and rack will live on it for the summer but both will come off in the winter anyway.

Solar panel now bonded to the maggi up top and wired in when parked up only.

Rear draws and wets making area all working really well, even the table has stood test of time to date! (4 uses!)

List of things still to do:

1. fit air tank for onboard air (audio air suspension bottle fits perfectly between two rear outriggers) compressor and everything else is fitted.
2. headlining and internal trim sections to fit after insulating the roof.
3. Webasto cab heater (fuel lines are in for it, just need to fit and plumb in)
4. end grain sealer on all that board ( i have it just not done it)
5. possibly fit a webasto engine coolant heater too.
6. i need to panel out the rear kick area under the seats once the webasto is in.
7. wire in heated rear seats
8. fit internal lights

Got the dog crates in it with all camping kit less sleeping bags and kit bags now (plus fresh food) and loving the space.

Also need to sort the rear suspension, its sagged a fair bit with the weight thats gone on it. 65k on the original springs and it was carrying a very heavy dog cage for most of that. it lifted over 50mm when we took the cage out! So looking at purple/brown with air helpers currently. Will do a little trial and error! Cheers

managed a few jobs yesterday air bags now in for rear suspension, along with some options on take off springs,,

tried purple brown springs but they werent looking good on height so now white/green/green which are 3 stage progressive 269/310/409 compared to Purple/Brown 270/420. i guess with my standard loading (compressing P/B 4.5" and w/g/g 4.1") the triple stage spring is in the middle ground 310lb/in so less compression than the p/b which is still working in the 270lb/in.

either way it sits higher with w/g/g for any given air pressure. so currently trialing that and adding air pressure to suit usage. ie towing tomorrow so 45psi in bags, off road today at 25psi (which gives near as standard ride height)

of note the old springs sagged 1.5" more than the replacements!

Pin/Pin rear OME shocks used from Gwyn Lewis with his top mount system

Also managed to get the heated rear seats wired in and some extra rear power points fitted.

Picked up some 3M insulation for the roof to go on top of the NICO sheets, just waiting on headlining now.

Highlight of the day was taking it around David Bowyers Off Road course this morning. Interesting to note the different handling characteristics of the 130. Vehicle worked well, only managed a couple of pics. I was grateful of the rear locker. wet inclines with a heavy truck!

 Cheers

Another camping opportunity over the last few days. Really pleased with how its all come together.

80l water tank, gravity fed works well, better than expected so far. Still not quite there on packaging for a few bits but all coming along.

Air bags and springs on rear working really well.

Good to hear that it's all okay so far, you will have to have a time out to finish the jobs so you don't have to worry when on the 2 weeks of camping Thumbs Up

Couple of running issues.

https://www.defender2.net/forum/post849632.html#849632

Being main problem.

Other one being t box leak. Found the breather melted to the exhaust manifold so hopefully with that now repaired the flow will ease. Its coming g from somewhere on the top rather than usual places. Cheers

Just spent a very windy week camping . Oz tent foxwing coped really well, no problems, although we did shelter next to a horse lorry! Roof tent not so great. Stupidly I didnt fit storm cover to Maggi and wind blew rain in through the zip on side door. Having said that i took tent down 3hrs after that, far too windy up there for goodness of the tent.

Nice 3hr run down south last night and 130 is pulling well, slight electrical charge issue I am still not convinced is resolved. New alternator on now so if it persists I know its not the actual alternator https://www.defender2.net/forum/post851376.html#851376 ignition switch could be a possible it has been suggested.

Just thinking on hybrid billet turbo now, possibly too much time sat driving and bored! Wondering if it would be much benefit towing? Don't want to sacrifice engine reliability. Cheers

Just back from a superb camping weekend in Wales. Route in and out of the woods far wetter than previous years. Really pleased with the 130 on its ats, still fair bit of winching. Its a heavy long beast in the trees! Good to catch up with tj101 and Scott rover off here. We parked up for the weekend having winched in so enjoyed using the 130 for what it's been part built for. Camping kit will come out next week ready for transport roles in shoot season.

Just trying to get some et0 rims for a set of mts now.

Oh and slight ignition issue, you can key out with ignition still on! Thinking this could also be linked to i it'll charging woes. Cheers
