thought the judges comment about "moving deckchairs around on the Titanic" was quite telling..........

delaying the inevitable, unfortunately it looks like he has had enough time to 'escape' with some stuff abroad (allegedly).......pretty poor show overall

very noble of the new owners (who have no legal responsibility) to carry on all warranty work, bike supply, etc...........

seems like the clock is ticking on Mr.Garner and would be interesting to see whats in store for him financially

I didn't think they were taking any responsibility for fixing these issues?

They have no obligation but certainly I am aware of them doing various things they have no need to as they are trying to (re) build the Norton brand from the sh&tstorm Garner has caused.........

Certainly all of those that paid for bikes are receiving them FOC

Right that's counter to the contents of this letter, from Norton.

I guess they are working out if there is still a workable margin on the bikes pre-sold. Maybe by increasing manufacturing efficiency, they reduce build cost and time so people still get their bikes

regardless of the letter I know someone very close that is in this exact situation
having been promised his bike was imminent by Garner, at al - he was asked to pay in full ready for collection then radio silence............shortly after everything went tits up and he basically wrote it off as a very expensive lesson.....obviously informed the Liquidatots of a claim
new owners have come in, made contact (and maintained that dialogue) - was given an option of a refund in full or the completed order and they are promising that the 1st bikes delivered will satisfy outstanding customers

also know another guy that had his bike "seized" by the liquidators as it was at the factory for warranty but has since had the "stolen" parts replaced and under going an investigation to try and get the warranty issues resolved......

I think we are at cross purposes.

The letter addresses current owners of the V4-SS model and whilst the current owners have compiled a defect list, they are not looking to undertake physical remedy work FOC.

"Mr Stuart Garner was declared bankrupt at 10:54 this morning. The pension holders are the largest creditors.."

was pretty much always going to happen

More good, actually great news:

Jefferson (@Jefferson_MFG) Tweeted:

Great time-lapse showing the development of Norton's new multi-million pound factory and global HQ in Solihull. Officially opened yesterday, the British marque's 73,000 sq ft production facility is capable of building 8,000 motorcycles a year.

And in what seems like an open and shut case:

"The former boss of Norton Motorcycles is to appear in court next year accused of illegally investing people's pension savings in the bike manufacturing business he ran.

Stuart Garner, aged 52, will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 7, 2022, the date having been put back from Monday, November 15, 2021."

These things move slowly, not sure why any court time was required. It's a technical offense he's never denied.

"The former owner of Norton Motorcycles has admitted to illegally using an estimated £11m from the firm's pension scheme and reinvesting it back into the business.

Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court head how Stuart Garner was the company's owner and sole trustee of the scheme which other people invested into.

But he took cash from it to plough into the then Donington Park-based business which he owned between 2008 and 2020.

This morning, Monday February 7, the 53-year-old, of Park Lane, Castle Donington, pleaded guilty to three charges of breaching employer-related investment (ERI) rules.

Handing him unconditional bail, District Judge Jonathan Taaffe said: "I acknowledge this is a complex matter and it was clearly a conflict of interest involving substantial amounts.

"This clearly crosses the custodial threshold and I am sending the case to Derby Crown Court."

The short hearing was told how the offences were in relation to three defined contribution schemes: Dominator 2012, Commando 2012 and Donington MC which had a total of 227 scheme members.

The investments, which were made in return for preference shares, were made between 2012 and 2013."

I'd like to see the Pensions Regulator in the Dock also ~ they allowed this to happen, if indeed, they did not sign off on it formally.

So nearly FIVE years after this debacle started my customer now finally has this delivered…..

Whilst initially fearing he had lost everything the new Norton owners (TVS) not only guaranteed the product but they totally re-engineered it so its actually safe rather than the apparent shoite show that the convicted fraudster / bankrupt Stuart Gardener was happy to fob off on customers….
