Just change the bearings of the pulleys. This costs less than 5 € per bearing.

Can you put a bit more detail please? Thanks Martin. Further digging has lead me to the conclusion that the Ford installations of the 2.4 TDCi use a different arrangement of serpentine belt and use different pulleys, so it is likely that there actually is no Ford equivalent part number of either of these.
The particular pulleys I was asking about can be seen in the picture below (borrowed from another thread where Def2 member Hornet had usefully posted it) and are items 8 and 9 in the picture. There is a further ribbed pulley located to the left of number 8 on non-a/c engines, which is the same part as number 9. The smooth pulley, number 8, is made ion two halves which are rivetted together sandwiching the bearing, and the ribbed pulley number 9 has the bearing pressed in. Both of these use standard 6303 bearings which are both cheap and easily available, but not easy to replace in the pulleys due to the outstanding design! The fan hub pulley (the big one in the picture) is in theory only available as a complete assembly together with the backing plate and two other pulleys, and a rather shocking cost, but I think that the Ford versions must use a different arrangement. Yes, the serpentine belt is completely different for the Transit engines.
I'll check, if I can find some cross notes in my documents, when I'm back home. Maybe can find some ford numbers. BTW: The hand written numbers are the bearing types for these pulleys. |

I checked my notes, unfortunately I have couldn't found a ford part.
The number in the post above is a Ford number, but was not used in a Ford vehicle. Is it is just from the time when LR was part of Ford. |
